WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Athleta, Print, Textile and Graphics Manager, 2021-present

    Achievements include:
    - Using extensive business data, trend and market analysis as well as consumer insights to build Athleta’s first surface handwriting pillars for the girl line.
    - Creating engaging surface collections and seasonal narratives for Athleta Girl, including prints, jacquards and graphics.
    - Concepting and executing prints and graphics for the Simone Biles collaboration collections. This included a vibrant chalk print where the brushstrokes took direct inspiration from the Olympic athlete’s signature moves.
    - Managing various designers, both in-house and freelance.

  • NIKE, Print Designer II, 2016 - 2021
    Work scope includes:
    - Defining the Nike Print POV by setting global creative design direction for print and pattern across the Nike brand.
    - Designing seasonal print and pattern collections for apparel, footwear, accessories, licensees, retail and brand.
    - Serving 22 separate branded teams, while being the print lead for several design teams.
    - Entrusted to work on projects with high-profile collaborators, including Drake, Virgil Abloh, Travis Scott, Crystal Dunn etc.

  • LINA MICHAL, Apparel Designer, 2009 - Present
    Exploring fashion in a wide range of projects, for example:
    - Creating two collections in collaboration with MUUSE released in 2015.
    - Collaborations with artists, such as Empress Of and Laleh.
    - Managing teams ranging from 2-20 people, in different capacities over the years, under this namesake brand umbrella.

  • FIVE POINTS GRAPHICS, Print Designer, 2015 - 2016
    Creating original prints for the FPG print vendor library.

  • LINDSEY THORNBURG, Print and Embellishment Manager, 2014 - 2016
    Managing print and embellishment creation and development. Working with in-house team as well as external artists and vendors.

  • OPENING CEREMONY, Photographer, 2013 - 2014
    Editorial, product and runway photography, as well as videography, for social media and web.

  • MARY KATRANTZOU, Embellishment internship, 2012.
    Concepting original embellishment and print developments for the SPSU13 season as well as working on showpieces and assisting during the runway show at London Fashion Week.

  • JENNA FIORE, Production Manager, 2010 - 2011.
    Overseeing evening wear developments in Asia, including communications with factory and creating tech packs.

  • CAMILLA NORRBACK, Design Assistant, 2009 - 2010.
    Responsible for the creation of all printed and knitted patterns, as well as graphics for two seasons. Other responsibilities included tech packs, look book layout, pattern making and footwear designs. Camilla Norrback was a pioneer in the “eco-luxury” movement and my background in environmental studies came in handy often.

  • Print creation with a focus on original artwork. Exceptional drawing and painting techniques complemented by excellent computer skills. Proven track record of commercially successful developments.

  • Extensive experience in creating factory ready files. An efficient workflow ensures properly set up files that are cleaned, color matched correctly, with seamless repeats or precisely engineered.

  • Proficient in Adobe Suite and Ned Graphics.

  • Understanding of the design process and the different stages of building a collection. Primary and secondary research, color stories, moodboards, material research etc.

  • Great communication skills, with experience managing others.

  • Muuse & Vogue Talents - Young Vision Award 2013, international winner.

  • Recipient of H&M Scholarship for namesake collection, 2013.

  • Triumph Inspiration Award 2012, one of 9 national finalists.

  • The Pattern Hunt 2011, winner.
    A patterned coffee cup with the winning print was produced and sold at Scandinavian design store DesignTorget. Extended to a whole series, with bowls and plates in 2012, due to popularity.

  • Exhibition – Utopian Bodies: Fashion Looks Forward,
    2015-2016 at renowned Liljevalchs Art Gallery, Sweden, later traveling internationally. Exhibiting parts of BA collection ‘Heathen Hearts’ in the room ‘Solidarity’, one of the exhibitions eleven themes. Other exhibitors: Hussein Chalayan, Eckhaus Latta, Maison Martin Margiela, Dior, Walter Van Beirendonck, Issey Miyake, Viktor & Rolf, Alexander McQueen, Prada etc.

  • Installation during Paris Couture week, presenting a collection in collaboration with Muuse Projects, January 2015. 

  • Exhibition during Stockholm Fashion Week, January 2014.

  • Fashion performance show in Kosice, Slovakia, Cultural Capital of Europe, September 2013.

  • Thesis runway show, Stockholm, May 2013.

  • Runway show and exhibition during Stockholm Fashion Week, January 2013.

  • Exhibition with Weekday and auction house Lauritz, Stockholm, September 2012. The project centered around Weekdays 10 year anniversary, resulting in a print story for tees and garments for men and an in-store workshop.
